Care & Cleaning Guide
Before suiting

Good hygiene! Bathe, clean up, wear deodorant, you're gonna sweat. Wear a balaclava. Know where you're headed, stay away from hazards. (open fire, food, pools, chlorine damage fabric.) Don’t be rough, suits are made strong but extreme activity can cause damage.

After suiting

After every outing small or not, check your suit for damages, dirt, tears. Spot clean and disinfect inside and out. Hang up your suit's head and dry thoroughly.

Washing and care

After every wear, you should spot clean, wipe and spray your fursuit to maintain its quality. I do not recommend that you wash your fursuit as it has airbrushing detail and could fade or stain.
If you find that your fursuit does need a thorough wash I recommend using a “Little Green Carpet Cleaner”, cleaning only the back half of the head. If you don't have this machine simply remove all accessories, and electronics from the head, and soak the back of the head in a bath with COLD water.

DO NOT let water around the face and eyes as damage could occur. Use a teaspoon of your desired detergent and with your hands wash the inside and outside of the head slowly and gently. Careful washing around the face as it may strip the paint, stain, or damage the suit. Once you are done washing your suit, rinse it with more cold water until the water becomes clear. Gently squeeze the suit to remove as much water as possible. Carefully remove the suit and place it on a flat surface in front of a fan(s) to dry.
Drying may take a few days. Be patient. When the suit is completely dry, reattach all electronics and accessories.

If your fursuit has white fabric you can use bleach or cleaner to whiten the suit. Do a spot test with a small amount of bleach on a less obvious area of your suit before fully using bleach.
(step by step guide how to bleach your fursuit below in "Repairing Damages")

DO NOT
-Use bleach on your fursuit if it doesn't have white fabric.
-Put your suit in the dryer/washer.
-Use a hairdryer with hot air to dry your suit.

This WILL damage and potentially ruin your suit.

Repairing damages

Damages can come in different shapes and severity. After some time something is bound to happen to your suit, whether it be a hole, or tear.

Popped Seam?- This is a very simple fix, one you can even do yourself! Invisible stitch
Missing a whisker? - Rethread using fishing line.
Need extra fabric? Check your printed care guide for fabric sample names.

Your white fursuits has a stain?
(FOR WHITE FABRIC ONLY)
For white suits dirty or have stains its best to spot clean and use carpet cleaner or bleach the white fabric.
Simply clean the effected area with cold soapy water.
Then do a spot test with some cleaner on a smaller area before hand.
Wear gloves and scrub by hand.
Leave the scrubbed area for a few minutes for best results.
Rinse off.
